DIY: Rockin’ Jeans

The boyfriend jean! Acid wash denim! The skinny jean! These are the hottest trends in denim at this very sercond. If any of you are like us, you have a gazillion pairs of jeans that were the “it” jean and have slowly fizzled out. Have no fear! We have an easy DIY project that will transform your “has been” denim into your “must have” denim. Follow these 4 simple steps and be prepared to amaze everyone who crosses your path!

 

(Balmain, Spring 2009)

Step 1: Bunch areas on old black (OR any deep, dark shade of denim) and pour a bit of Clorox on each. When you’re satisfied with the color, rinse off. Be aware that the clorox will soak through all layers.

Step 2: Sand the knees and fronts of the thighs with heavy grit paper

Step 3: Slice the areas you want ripped, and pick apart the fibers in the weave.

Step 4: Machine wash and dry twice.
